Stack development

REDstack engages in the production and development of stacks that are specifically targeted at the RED technology. REDstack specializes in the production of RED stacks, as well as the development of efficient high-performance RED stack housing that increases performance and reduces capital costs. Along with project partners – Fujifilm and Wetsus – REDstack has been working on developing RED for the Afsluitdijk project. Fujifilm is developing membranes specifically for RED, tailored to handle the unique and complex composition of seawater. Wetsus conducts the scientific research on the basis of the RED technology, focusing on, among other things, controlling stack fouling-related problems - the old saying stays true: 'prevention is better than a cure'. In practice, there is a highly cooperative workflow between stack design, membrane production, and pre-treatment of fresh and salt water.
