Pieter Hack, founder and shareholder of REDstack, member of the Supervisory Board of Wetsus, is pleased to announce that Dr. Michel Saakes, the Wetsus coordinator for the research theme Blue Energy and resource recovery, will be sharing his expertise with the next generation. Saakes has joined NHL Stenden in Leeuwarden as a lecturer in applied sciences in water-smart hydrogen and will continue part of his research on sustainable energy storage here, focusing on research and education in the area of converting seawater into hydrogen gas, or water-smart hydrogen.
Saake's appointment was made in a partnership between NHL Stenden, Wetsus and the Centre of Expertise Water Technology (CEW) and is subsidized by the L.INT program of the Taskforce Applied Research SIA (part of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research).
